The Chiefs were able to acquire Cassel and Vrabel for one second round pick in Aprils draft.
The Cheifs will obviously not take a QB with the 3rd overall pick. Aaron Curry would be fantastic for our defense. Heres to hoping.
For those that don’t know I am a huge Kansas City fan. I was so happy when I heard the news that King Carl Peterson was ending his reign of terror in Kansas City. Carl Peterson, while a good operations and team executive, is a horribly harsh negotiator. While in regular business this is great, in football it means big name talent will not likely show up and high draft picks will be late to camp.
Peterson out; Scott Pioli in! Clark Hunt and Peterson were able to amass a 32 Million dollar overage in the salary cap, so Pioli should be able to do some prime shopping.
I expect a couple of things from Piloi. I expect him to take a solid shot at signing Spagnuolo away from the Giants to replace Herm Edwards as Head Coach. The next thing I would assume he would do is evaluate the situation in New England with Matt Cassell. He is still young and a solid starter that won 11 games last year. Piolo drafted Cassell when with the Pats. I think he would do that in order to free up the 3rd overall pick, for an impact defensive end, more offensive line help, or a linebacker.
If Cassell is not there then I assume Pioli will draft (Bradford/Stafford/Sanchez…..please Bradford…no Stafford, the UGA pansy) with that pick. Welcome Scott Piloi. Clean this shit up and let’s get this team moving towards a championship!
Directv is the only way to get all the NFL games at your home on a Sunday. Being a rabid Chiefs fan over here on the east coast, I don’t get to watch their games without Sunday Ticket from Directv.
When I first started buying Sunday Ticket is was around 170 bucks for the season. They break it up over a few bills to lessen the blow (to sneak the cost past your wife). I used to pay it up front. I little pricey for what amounts to TV programming, but well worth it to not have to go to a sports bar an hour a head of time to scout out a table. Then you will end up spending 30 to 50 bucks on crappy food and draft beer. Stay at home, sit in a nice cozy chair or couch, and the only assholes in the room are the ones you invited. Love it.
So I moved to an area for 3 years that had more trees than the forest moon of fucking Endor. For real; I had a bowl out back to feed the Ewoks. So anyhow, no Directv for me. While I first got Directv for the football, I did really enjoy the service. Customer service was always pretty fast and I could make programming adjustments online that would appear in minutes.
I was sad to have to go to Comcast cable. Shit, pure shit. The on-demand stuff is nice, but other than that, I would take Fios, Dish, or Directv over Comcast any day of the week.
So 3 years later in my new home I once again have Directv. I get my install done with no problems. The one downside of Directv is the install. The contractors that come out are either great or morons and will drill holes all over the place. So I get a Basic package with HBO and pay the extra money for HD programming (which is very nice on Directv). Hells yeah lets go order up some Sunday ticket!

That’s a lot of coin friend. I can justify anything though, so 17 bucks a week for 17 weeks…ok fine, and this time they can split it up and bill me (wife still thinks it was 170).
So NOW I can watch all the games from my couch on the 55 inch Hitachi!

For an extra 99 bucks I can watch the games (I already paid 289 to see) in HD (which I already pay a monthly premium to get). Yeah yeah, stat tracker and 8 game mix is nice yatta yatta. Don’t bundle the HD with that. It’s bullshit.
This pisses me off to no end.
Ok so I won’t be turning off the Directv and I will pay all that shit. I am the asshole fan that is making all the people in NY and Texas pay those ridiculous 20,000 fees for the “right” to purchase tickets in the new stadium, after season tickets are now second generation in their family. That’s a whole other rant…
So I will just take it in the ass and piss and moan about it, for now.

Is this a solid product? How functional is the rack? What quality is the whole system?
I have no fucking idea…I haven’t put this thing together yet. It’s in 5 thousand pieces. I will say that again, FIVE thousand pieces. It only has 5 god damned moving parts!
What I do know is someone needs to send some hookers over to the local sporting goods store to blow the poor kids that have to spend 12 hours putting shit like this together.
I got this thing home in 2 very compact boxes. I thought to myself “Shit, this is going to need tools to put together.” Little did I know exactly HOW right I was?
Have you ever put a piece of furniture together from Target or a similar store? You know; something simple that has one drawer but comes in to 50 individual pieces? Parents that have put a babies crib together understand exactly the kind of bullshit I am talking about.
Well this thing is the mother fucker, of all fuckers that fuck mothers.
